....if you are a bit past it that is!

I know this has been mentioned on Fun before but if you phone DFDS to make a booking on 0844 576 8836 and happen to be age 60 or over you get a 20% discount off the fare :)

I noticed that the 2017 fares are now on the DFDS website (we are going in June) and checked the price. It was £229 return on the website but only £183.20 when I phoned to book and asked for the discount - a useful saving.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - its okay to park overnight in the DFDS car park at Newhaven so we aim to travel down the evening before our ferry sails at 09.00 the next morning.

Did newhaven dieppe last summer parked overnight in the newhaven port car/hgv parking area turned into a race track for 30 minutes at 0430 with hgv unloading from the ferry, you need to get well away from that area of the port.

Blimey prices have gone up a lot (unless you have a big van), we nearly always use that crossing as only 20 miles from home.

Gone off the Dieppe Aire after having immigrants knocking on the door asking for money, also a huge increase in the price.
