My husband and I have had our lovely 1984 Hymer S700 for 4 years now and have spent the last few winters in Portugal and Spain enjoying the lovely weather and leaving the cold, wet and windy weather behind in the UK. We are keen to know how other long term campers source suitable travel/health insurance, particularly as a certain percentage of us are of a certain age and may or may not have existing medical conditions to declare? Any responses and advice would be a appreciated.

Can't answer your questions I'm afraid but someone will be along very shortly to do so.
In the meantime welcome to Fun :welc::xgrin:

We take out Red Pennant with the Caravan Club, a yearly policy covering us for as many trips as we want up to a maximum of 66 days, I believe you can extend it to suit.

It is almost certainly not the cheapest but we have found it very good so far, not that we have had any health problems but on a couple of occasions we have needed the breakdown services.

Not long enough!
I have used insure and go as well.
Some bank accounts provide insurance cover. It might be worth looking at these?

I'm not sure I could get health insurance because of various problems and might have to rely on the EHIC.

However not planning to travel outside the UK in the near future.
