If your vehicle is the RV in the avatar, I have no clue if the small local sites will take you.

This site is just on the outskirts of Newbury on the Hampshire border:-

Edit: Just noticed this on their website - "The site is not suitable for caravans over 22' long (not including towbar) or motor homes over 24' long"

I do not know anything about this place, it is several miles out of town, if a farm maybe grass only??:-

This one is actually in Andover, probably circa 15 miles away:-

I'm struggling to think of any major campsites around Newbury, there used to be a little Caravan Club CL in Curridge (Hermitage) about 4 or 5 miles out, doubt it will have hard standing though, lanes are pretty narrow leading to it...

I think access to Newbury show ground is limited to certain ticket based events.

There may be a couple of local pubs in the Brit Stops guide, the following definitely used to be, but the size of your RV may be an issue for the car park:-

To be honest, I don't think I've helped, if I get any inspiration I will come back...

Wellington country park is a nice site but not stayed there for some years and it is also a bit of a trek from Newbury,:) then I dont know if they take RVs either:) but in my youth I did stay there for two weeks. The kids loved it and I must say we met up with a a couple of squaddies from Aldershot camp who decided to extend their week away to two weeks because it was such a hoot. (y)
