hi this is Ken and Carol from Preston, we have just bought a MH and have been out a couple of times, we stayed on a site in Coniston and was charged £10.00 extra per night as we were not members of the caravan club. With this in mind is it best to join?

Firstly, Welcome!
Only you can tell if the CC is going to be worth it. At a £ 10 premium you only need to stay a few nights at their sites to get your membership fee back and they do offer deals on Channel crossings.

A small minority hate them, the rest including me are happy to be a member. If there is any any downside it is many of their sites are in the middle of nowhere, but that applies to most campsites!

Hi and Welcome, Coniston is one of my favourite sites and a good reason for me to be a member, am surprised, as you seem to have been there a few nights, that membership, you can join at site, was not suggested.
worked in Preston for many years and lived there for a couple.
