Hi all
Will be picking up a new (to us) motor home on Friday and will be off for a few days to Glastonbury to find out how it all works. We have caravanned for the last 6 years, but finally decoded the time was right to trade in the two wheels for four wheels and a steerung whell. Will be towing a Toyota iQ (known as Bridget - as in Bridget the Midget) for those longer trips. Anyone else on here have a Stardream (or a Toyota iQ for that matter)

Hi Jodie and welcome to fun, we were at Glastonbury a few weeks ago stayed on the Isle-of-Avlon site excellent site with brilliant showers and a easy walk into the centre of Glastonbury, I love wondering around the shops there.
Enjoy.

welcome to the ever improving and growing Motorhome Fun enjoy your purchase:thumb:

My only advice is to use the motorhome like a motorhome and not a caravan. It will take you a little while to understand that but when you do your in for a great time.:thumb:

but what ever way you use it enjoy it:thumb:

why not get yourself on motorhome fun meet to show it off?

Yes, you are the friendly forum::bigsmile: Many thanks for the welcome.
Bag full of nerves at the moment whether we have done the right thing changing the caravan for a motorhome, but I'm sure we have. Once the OH has given up work we will be able to go away at a moments notice instead of having to plan ahead all the time, which will be be far more fun.
The reason we decided to tow a small car is that we like to go for walks in the countryside with the dogs and we felt that leaving a 21 foot van on the side of the road (thats if there is room to park) in the middle of nowhere with all our stuff on board, would be asking for trouble. We really had two choices, a small day trip type van or something bigger and a little car. The bigger van and little car option was something we preferred to do. The iQ is big enough for the both of us and our two dogs. We are not small and neither are the dogs (Golden Retrievers), but the iQ is plenty big enough. It gives us options really, we can choose to take the van off for the day or the car.
