Sorry, Brian, Jo and Josh, you can only get in at 9 a.m. on the Friday, but you normally get a bunch of daffs for the wife on arrival (unless they have cut back on that this year).

A Bunch !!!!!! i got four bloody daffs last year, made me feel like i'd driven over the gatemans foot or something.

Just think yourself lucky you got four, we took a vase especially for them last year and didn't get any as we went in a day early to help marshall.

OOPS we were hoping to go on Thursday like norm , didnt realise you were not able to enter till fri morn ...Does anyone know if there is a holding field if you arrive thurs nite ?

We don't know about a holding area, give the venue a ring and ask, but if there is, please do not get to us before 9 a.m., we don't do earlies and we will probably still be in bed.:thanks2:

It's only the Warners shows that start camping on Thursdays isn't it? Newark has been Friday in the last few years since we started going.

Hi Champers,

Many who travel quite a way stop overnight in the large hard standing area, opposite the main show entrance, (turn right off the roundabout, and then take a right through the open gates). You'll have to turn round and go back out those gates in the morning, in order to pick up the route for the Red Gate. You may even be able to overnight on the concrete approach to the Red Gate (old runway), but I can't be certain.

Having both Marshalled and been a visitor to Newark show, I can tell you it is entirley pot luck what they let you do I have been turned away at 8.45am Friday told i could not park on the hard standing till 9am (fifteen bloody minuets)despite 100 other motor homes being there over night already, when i marshalled i took the wrong gate and was told absolutly no over nighting, again with others being on the runway
Even told traders cant come in till Sat am oh: Really
You takes yer chance on what muppet greets you im afraid

Are you sure that was Spring Fair Newark Geo? The Event Development staff have always been brilliant with me, always very accommodating.
