It looks likely that we are thinking of heading through the tunnel between Christmas and New Year. either going left and south towards Alsace or right towards Mont St Michel and along the Normandy coast.

Has anybody been to either regions around New Years Eve and any recommendations ?, fireworks, events etc.

Thanks in advance

Mont St Michel fireworks would look good from a distance, but surely it'd be as dead as Disco inside the gates with all the plastic knight and wooden sword shops boarded up for the winter?

I would imagine so, we thought it might be good for fireworks but havent found out any details about any events on the 31st, the rest of the time probably fill in some gaps of places along the Normandy Coast.
