Just got back from the New Year meet at Croft near Darlington, had a Lovely time and Thanks to Sally and Mike for making us very welcome. I think all of us enjoyed seeing the New Year in Country style and the Cow boys and Cow girls at croft made us feel part of the New Year Celebrations, One again thanks Sally and Mike and a happy New Year to all. YAHOO!:thumb:

Hi all
This was our first meet so we where a bit apprehensive before we went as in reality we where meeting a bunch of strangers.
Once we arrived at site we where welcomed by the weekenders later to be known as Bob and Val so far good start and friendly folk. We where a bit disappointed with the pitch we where given (muddy underfoot) but totally understandable due to weather we have had and moved after 1 night to hard standing.
Well we also met a few others who where Leanne Paul Dan and Ben, the gay couple tommy-harry aka Des and Dee Kierian and wee Rob. Mike and Sally .Ray, Bill and Chris dont think ive missed anyone all who where really friendly and welcoming. Sophie happened to be the only girl there but i think she enjoyed that as she got the attention from the boys .

Then it was down to the night out and must admit never have and doubt i ever will spend the bell like this lol. It was a great night every one from fun mixed well but the way we where treated by the cowboys and girls was brilliant coming to our table and forcing us to drink from their hip flask or they'd shoot us so we just had to.

Next day was a bit quieter due to a few sore heads but some of us haeded off to see the shooting competition at 13.00 (some folk where still in bed)not a good idea with sore head and again the cowboys where great giving Dan and Ben Lallymc boys a shot of the gun what a big smile on their faces.

Sat night was bingo night well off to a bad start as we moved some ones dabbers well be warned never move a women's dabbers without asking first locals weren't to happy even worse when Bill and Chris who had their own dabbers win £64 (thanks for the drink).
Early night for us as all tired and Lorraine suffering from cold dont know what time the drunks got home as we all fell asleep quick.

Up this morning and said goodbye to everyone and hope we will see them all soon now how do we know if it was a success well if you get a 13 year old asking before you come out the car park dad when is the next meet think that tell you how good it was or is she just wanting to see the boys again (Have to leave her at home next time)

So just to say thanks to Mike and Sally for arranging the meet and thanks to all the funsters who made the meet, hope to see you all soon and if every up my way please warn me first

Hi Gerry

Sorry we missed you when you left, we were on a walk with Toby.
Glad you enjoyed your first meet as this time last year was our first meet at Wrenbury,Cheshire, which was a really good meet too, we were made to feel as welcome as you were and it is nice to have a friendly face to greet you at your first meet.
Hope to see you at another meet in the near future.

Tomorrow I am going to look at these photos properly. Leanne posted some in Chat the other night and she looked as though she really enjoyed herself... as did all the others. Looking forward to seeing the albumn.
