Anyone going out in the van for New Year? We fancy going somewhere where we can meet up with a few like minded folk but not going to Haganaps meet as we only live 3 miles away from Uttoxeter racecourse and fancy a bit of a longer drive.

well you could always go on a long drive and then end up at the race course

Ours is a party not to be missed, Janine Barry Martin scotties, kareoke, mulled wine, sparkling wine, bacon butties, a bit of fancy dress, horses galloping right past your van, people dressed up like their pop idol, :Cool::Cool:

Hi Paul - we would love to be there but we were at the Frodsham meet and realised that the problems we have with our dog and trying to socialise with lots of raucous people doesn't work. Since we lost our other dog she has developed separation anxiety so can't be left in the van and she is partially blind and deaf so was very uncomfortable and anxious lying on the floor in the club house with lots of people stepping over her. It's a real problem at the moment and we have little or no freedom, however having said that she is still our treasure and we love her dearly.

Have a look at The Rose and Crown, holbeach Hurne, Lincs there are about six units of friends going, myself and Caz are members on here as is Allen too i think.....there is a buffet/party in the pub NYeve with karaoke etc....if you fancy it send me a pm for more info you'd be more than welcome!

We will be here www.langcliffe.com from the 29th of Dec until the 2nd of Jan. SWMBOs cousin and her husband will be joining us on the 30th.

Never been there before but if you make it there look us up. :thumb:

Going on the train from Settle to Carlisle on the 31st for a few hours because we can, and it is our wedding anniversary. Other than that we will be in and around the site and Settle.

Many thanks for your invitations and suggestions. We have decided to go to see some friends near Halifax for New Year - in the van if the weather permits, otherwise Travelodge.
