Borrowed a Bessacar motorhome for two weeks last summer and thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of the journeys plus having luxuries of home on board. We had the opportunity of buying it but decided it was too big and too expensive at the time. Now we are awaiting delivery (9 days to go) of our Talbot Harmony Autosleeper "H" reg (no power steering)! It has only had one owner from new and is immaculate inside and out. Took one of the funsters advice by starting off with a cheaper model - just hope we haven't bought a dinosaur!
Day-tripping is the order of events this summer as kidz are 10 & 6yrs and got bored staying for days on one site. Thought we'd go visiting nature and museums with possible stop-overs to break up the journey.

Any suggestions for days out will be greatly received.

I have an H reg Talbot Express 2 litre petrol (Autohomes Highwayman) without power steering, very few of them had it. You won't miss it as the steering rack is low geared and seems to take about 10 turns lock to lock

    Hi there ,
Id suggest joining the caravan and camping club. Theres lots of temporary holiday sites up and down the country. When they are in the school holls its great cos you can just turn up and stay as long as you want. Usually for only about £6 - £8 a night. Theres usally thing on for the younger kids too. Plus other kids for them to play with. Enjoy your new toy.
