I have made this new forum for you Motorhomers who travel alone, please feel free to discuss any issues that affect solo motorhomers here.

The forum also has a singles meets sub-forum that will be restricted to vouched for solo travellers only. The sub forum cannot be seen by Google or anyone who does not have the password. I will give the password to a few single travellers that I know. If those members, strictly, only give the password to fellow solo travelling funsters they have personally met, then the forum should remain relatively safe place to arrange get-togethers, especially to public campsites etc.

If I can help further please holler:BigGrin:

Sure would although he's a bit boisterous unintentionally.

Bruno's well travelled done all the countries his pet passport would let him but no where near Wee Burnip:Wink::thumb:

Is there a single parents section can you tell me?

I'm not a solo traveller as I have my two almost teenage kids travelling with me, but when they disappear off with other kids I do feel like a lone traveller. It is nice to have some company of single people in the same situation for some adult conversation over an evening drink.

    And me too please.

The only people I have knowingly met from "Fun" so far are the couple who introduced me - Marie and Rex.

    Hi Julie
I'd be interested to see what others think in principle (it's not meant to draw any analogy :Rofl1:).. solo traveller with dog or solo traveller with kids... is there any real difference?

(anyone wanting a kids/no kids meets debate please start another thread:Doh:)

Does a solo parent caravanner count? I will get back to a motorhome one day.

The only other Funster that I can say with certainty I have met is Roadrunner, although there may be others? I had a motorhome and he was in a caravan last time we met.

I know it says Motorhome Fun on the tin, but the real emphasis is on the "Fun"

We have caravan members, and even tenters, and we have funsters that just aspire to own. Everyone is welcome; we don't stand on ceremony here:BigGrin::BigGrin:

And Jim should you not also say 'personally met' means face to face in the real world.

Being the cynic I am about humans I bet it wouldn't be long before someone claims that 'chatting on a forum' is the same as personally meeting

I think it's a good idea and might even join, but need to get my MH sorted first.

Hi Jim and the other solo travellers,

I would like to join the solo travellers group when possible, but haven't meet any solo funster travellers yet as new to this site. I popped in to the Funster tent on the Saturday night at Peterborough but didn't meet any solos there just couples.

Anyone can chat in the Solo Travellers Forum click
The Solo Travellers forum is just a normal forum, anyone can gain entry. The forum has a private sub-section here for arranging meets. It is this sub forum that is password protected.

The idea is that the password is passed on only to those that are known to be solo travellers so that the details of the meets are not indexed by the search engines and available for anyone to see.

    Thanks
