We were meant to collect our new motorhome on the first 1st March but do to the DVLA backlog with new registrations.
Was re arranged for this Sunday 8th March but, received a call (backed up with an email) from supplying dealer telling that it could be another week !!
The DVLA says that due to an unexpected surge in new vehicle sales/registrations, they have a backlog that they are working their hardest to clear.
The Dealer has told me I can collect but, will have to drive it home with no tax even although it has been paid to start from the 1st !!
He also tells me that he has 8 new vans and 5 second hand ones all due to go to their owners but he is on the same boat with them all.
Why the bloody hell has this been repeated this year again, it happened last year when they closed all the local offices and moved all to Swansea but they cannot cope !!
Progress my a*se bloody shambles, other dealers have same problems and it is not just motorhome either it is effecting all kinds of vehicles.
