I know the feelings of some folk on here about CC campsites, but we stayed at the "Centenary" campsite in the New Forest. It was within a miles bike ride to the forest trails (lovely) and although it DID have the regimentaly laid out formula, it was immaculate.
No grass parking at this time of year, but plenty of gravel parkings and VERY nice (motorhome owning ) wardens. Quiet, sheltered and with easy access to places like Beauleu Motor museum and Bucklers Hard, where nelson had many of his fleet made.
AND, the sun shone non-stop !! THEN we came home to non-stop rain !! Bugger..
Still, not long till we go to Spain for the winter.. .
But highly recommend the site for a couple of nights..
