I know it is always going to be a challenge to find parts for my 93 Hymer built on a Renault Trafic but I can't be the only one searching for various parts from time to time.

Part of the fun/challenge for me is keeping my Hymer on the road and in tip top condition.

My current quest is for a new (not used) pair of front shock absorbers. Any one have any ideas.

Also it strikes me that it would be a great idea to start a reference document for suppliers of new parts for older vans.

I would be happy to compile it if others have info to share.

Hi try T&B moters 01993709000
We have a hymer fiat 1996 and had probs
sourcing parts we needed stub axle
couldnt get one anywhere got it there
ex service and not a bad price dont know

Hi Tootles, thanks for the info. I think that 1st choice deal mainly with parts from breakers but I have asked them anyway

Also thanks Beacons 564 I will contact T&B in the morning to see if they can help.

Try to find out the manufacturer that Renault bought them from as I don't think they will have made them. I'm chasing gas struts so I'm trying to find from the manufacturer the nearest supplier.

I use Europarts quite a lot but they are unable to help me with this.

I have received some info from goldschmitt. They may be able to supply the springs but not the struts. In that case I might be able to get the current struts renovated
