Hi all
Just introduce myself before the initiation ceremony been motorhoming since 2003 first with a little vito conversion by IH, then a bigger Autotrail and now my self build MWB Transit (Van Morrison).
Was really into my bikes and even competed at the IoM TT in the past (sidecars), but now my biking MoJo has gone along with my knees and hips! So I'm thinking of selling my bikes and chop the van in for a larger one (Hymer keeps popping up) and disappear into the distance for a good while.

Hi and a big :welcome3:from a fellow biker and TT marshall!!

I used to Marshall at the TT, until a rider crashed at Glen Helen in font of me, he was still alive, but severely injured, the attending doctor told me that the rider was as good as dead, and he did die subsequently, very soon after, it made me feel helpless, and although
I did Marshall again a few times afterwards, my heart wasn't in it, and I gave it up, probably selfish of me I know, but I could not enjoy TT racing after that, may go to the Classic festival next year if I can find somewhere to stay.

Maybe see you there,I am hoping to do the TT and the Manx festival if time permits.
I fully understand your feelings,I Marshalled this year where the sidecar rider was killed, they were short of marshals there, not surprising.
Will investigate with Manx friends if you like to try and find some accommodation for you.
The islanders are taking part in a home share scheme during race periods.

Don't know how many of us are going yet, early stages of planning, never had this problem before as my brother lived on the Island for 27 years, but he is now home in Norfolk, other friends at Ballacraine have now passed away, so a new situation for me, searching for accommodation.

Lost a few friends there over the years, I knew Ian Bell very well and was proud to have raced alongside him, didn't know Dwight Beare but have watched him progress through the ranks and he was on the verge of great things, I still help out a friend of mine (who I originally passengered) and is now top ten ish at the TT
