Hi there, are you still making these covers ?End result .... Having no success in replacing wing mirror casing ( complete mirror between £1000- £1300 avaiable ) decided to make one !!
Made box to take mirror mixed up some multifinish plaster filled 3/4 full , removed used offside mirror as pattern and set it into box , held down with sticks till plaster
went hard .Removed casing then made good using ployfilla were needed ie small air bubbles. When the mould was dry i put in about 8 wax polishes . I purchased from CFC
cornwall gel coat and fibre glass now the tricky bit ... a thick layer of white gel coat then about 3 layers of fibreglass cloth when set removed from mould cleaned up
and put in a new purchased online pair of ford ka repeater indicator lights . Job done looks great cost approx £60 . I have never attempted this kind of project before
but it was very successful dave
