Busby, From where has this information originated, perhaps the source may know the 'New' sites name?

I cycled to Albir from Benidorm last week and did not see a new site that was open.
There are some caravans stored on a closed site next door to Excaliber but did not see any name for the site.

My source has been on the site but the reception was still being built and there were no signs up although finished pitches were full. Passing Mendoza supermarket leaving Albir towards Excalibur it is set back a little just before the filling station. BUSBY.

    Camp site in Albir

Yes, it is called La Colina Caravan Park but their website is not complete yet but it is www.lacolinacaravanpark.com

They also own La Colina Apartments in Albir which you may be able to get details from them direct.
Probably by telephone or email but I have no details of that sorry.

We were there in November 2012 there were lots of campers on site but appeared to be Switzerland.

Site is still under construction but toilets and laundry were all up and running and were trully amazing.
    Pitches have own water,drainage,electric.

Site is of very high standard and we are thinking of looking again in April when we go back.

    Hope this helps

Its open as they are pitched bumper to bumper along the perimeter fence facing the road. As you leave Benidorm on the Albir road, go past Villamar on your right. Straight across the roundabout, then past Excaliber on your right. The campsite you mention is between Excaliber and the filling station before the speed bumps as you enter Albir. Its been there some time, but I have never taken any notice of it as its to far out for me.

Cheers for that. Know where it is as visited last year - but the main reception block and restaurant etc was still being built - just wondered if it was all finished as a pal is interested in staying on there

La Colena I think, there was a post on here last year. Had a look last year, mostly Dutch and Scandanavians. Nice facilities, no dogs and handy for Albir.
