No they didn't quote a normal annual milage and the Benimar warranty document dosn't state any maximum milage.
So I could full-time in it theoretically without a problem if I don't travel far!
But that's not what my intended use is, as we have had 5 longish mainland european trips so far since last March.

So if it doesn't state anything then point it out to them & use citizens advice/trading standards /legal route to ensure that the faults are rectified.

Mine is used everyday, Wife takes it to work, but Scotland is the killer, 1000 miles just there and back then the travelling around.
I was just saying to the wife I might call Marquis and see what the van value is now, as my insurance is due and no point over stating the value, just pushes the premium up, she reminded me that in the past dealers drew a sharp intake of breath when we asked for a part ex price and told them the mileage was between 18-28K (more than one van and 3-5 years old) wow that's high was the reply, but as Howard says these are commercial vehicles and used to high mileage, and on top of that they are now quoting a 2 year service interval, mine is done yearly, based on, look after the van and it will look after you.

I know what you mean about flimsy panels, I guess this is how they keep the weight down and payload reasonable.

Just a reminder for all Benny owners, there's a vibrant, separate owners group with 286 members on facebook, just go on Benimar UK Owners, really helpful like this one and very informal....

Just a quick heads up, wife was complaining about a rattle in the back of the van, when checked yesterday I found the glass lid of the cooker had come adrift from the hinge lugs and was lose on top of the cooker bars, one of the screws on the hing was ever so slightly lose so tightened up and seems OK again, but will see.

good afternoon

Does anyone know if you have to leave the control panel on to let the solar panel charge the batteries, according to the manual this is the case but it it?

No need to have the control panel on. The solar panel will charge the leisure batteries first then when charged the vehicle battery

I have one of these attached to my solar controller
Shows the battery charging with the control panel off
Also one of these http://www.cbe.it/en/csb2/ to charge the vehicle battery
What model year is your Benimar?

To test Check your solar panel controller when the charging light is on & turn the control panel off does the charging light go off. If not the control panel switch has no effect on your solar charging.
I have a 2016 201 with a 150w solar panel & the control panel on/off switch makes no difference to it. The only way to turn off the solar charger is to pull the internal fuse in the solar controller

Ok thanks for your help, I'll check it out, strange that Marquis would say to keep the panel on.

...

Did you add these 2 units yourself?
Does the solar panel charge both the leisure and vehile battery at the same time without the csb2 or Is only the leisure battery connected from the factory?

Good evening, has anyone fitted a bike rack to the new Benimar Mileo 286, if so how did you do it and what bike rack did you use, I would like to fit the Thule excellent short rack, the van has the supports already fitted but unsure how you attach the rack to them.

Thinking of having an awning fitted to our Mileo 313. Saw one fitted on the 313 m/home used in the Channel 5 programme, but they did not use it!
Is there a recommended fitter near Lincoln or Scunthorpe area?
Thanks.
