New aires video......Blaye. (1 Viewer)

Just uploaded another aires video, this one is for Blaye, on the banks of the Gironde north of Bordeaux.
I've got a load more to put together when I find the time......so watch this space.

Great video. Just as I remembered it from last year. Blaye is a very interesting place to visit. The Citadel is superb, and Sue ate Sturgeon for the first (and last!) time at the Porte restaurant. She said it was the fishiest fish she had ever eaten, but it was the cheapest on the menu!

Useful, and good to see you do the same as us, ignore the first entrance, we watched a german nearly remove both sides trying that entrance later on

also watch the tides

luckily we woke up as the tide was going out, had straw deposited at top of tyre walls, Bev would have really panicked if she had seen it that deep around us

Nearly went in the first entrance but I knew there was another wider one round the corner.
In the video you might notice a slight jump when we get to that first entrance. Thats where I edited out the bit where I reversed back to have a look and then decided it was a bit dodgy.

The tide was rather high when we were there and we kept a close eye on it.

Good little stop off
They were putting a meter in last year I believe (top of the parking area) €3 the French were just reading it giving a shrug ,as they do and just carried on walking .didn't see anyone actually pay
Managed to catch the market on the way down and on return ,great cooked meats
