Contact Paul at Cross Country RV in Mildenhall 01638 515700 - they bring in Fifth Wheels from The States and replace the American bottles for Calor Gas, they may be able to help by supplying pig-tails that go from American bottles to an English regulator.

why would you want to use American bottles in the UK?
as Sundowers say the importers change them to UK bottles when you get them

filling them at a petrol station is not legal as the risks of explosion is too high plus you may over fill them

why take such risks ??

or am i missing something here???:Eeek:

Cross Country change them as most people ask for English bottles or are unaware that you can fill the American bottles without the risk of being overfilled as they have an overflow protection device on bottles no older than 1998, exactly the same principle as Gaslow. Cross Country were unaware of this until we pointed it out and asked them not to change our bottles when we purchased our fifth wheel from them. We have filled our bottles successfully at LPG filling places for the last seven years.
