Just seen ad for 1996 AUTO-TRAIL SCOUT Mercedes Diesel and mileage is 86,000 Miles, is this high mileage ?? Its a 2874 cc engine. Any advice welcome. Need auto as i'm disabled and will fitting hand controls. thanks for any help

at 17 years old that is not too high a mileage. a delivery van of the same age although now probably razor blades would of gone several times round the clock. make sure its been regularly serviced and cambelt recently changed

Sensible mileage for age of vehicle and Mercs dont have cambelts, timing chain instead.

Should be OK for miles, check age of tyres and service history and DAMP
