Some dopy herbert smashed my drivers door mirror yesterday.

Anybody know the best place to get a replacement Fiat Ducato door mirror (with indicator and electric) for a 2008 cab?

    Thanks

I think it is called Micks Garage if you look it up on the net they may be able to help. I got 2 mirror glasses from them 1 large and 1 overtaking for Fiat x250 total price inc postage £ 28

Thanks - the mirror glass's are fine, its the whole casing that is smashed to buggery.... Will look at Micks to see if they do the full unit.

I needed one for my Pug boxer .
    Used http://999autoparts.co.uk, excellent service.
Its two man job to replace it. The tip is to attach some string to the cable as you pull the old ones out, then use the string to pull the new ones through.

I had mine wrecked by an HGV but I was close to Brighouse so I called in to Northern Commercials who luckily had one in stock. The cost was £350 fitted. I had no choice as it was completely shattered. With it being the nearside one the radio aerial is in it. After about an hour and a half I was on my way. The haulage company that employed the driver agreed to pay for it so I considered myself lucky.

    What length arm?
Also drivers side has a temperature sensor and most replacements do not.

The aftermarket one I bought had a locating spike, rather than a stub. Be prepared either to trim a spike or drill a small hole in the inner door

Having got the van home and had a good look at the damaged mirror, I came up with a plan to repair it before my MOT in 10 days. Rather than spend over £350 for a fitted replacement and given the glass was intact and the electrics working, I bought a roll of black Duck tape (£8.0) carefully stuck it back. To the casing ( and stuck parts of the casing back together) - I then bought some Mirror guards (funnily enough from Mirrorguards) and fitted these over the casing - looks perfect and its all working.... Plus I hope oncoming copy herberts will see the big white mirror covers...

Lot cheaper than buying a replacement and having it fitted...

Where did the £350 come from?
When my passenger mirror was smashed by white van man in FRANCE I bought a new one ...
1 x PEUGEOT BOXER 2006 -> 2014 Passenger Side Complete Wing Mirror Electric, Heated, Twin Glass, Indicator, Long Arm, Black (PG197) = £138.56 inc VAT and delivery.
I helped may local mechanic change it as it needed someone to hold the mirror while he fiddled with the wires and screws inside. Half hour tops, a couple of the folding beer vouchers changed hands, and that was it.
At £350 its close to an insurance job.
