These looked like a practical if not very stylish idea for wrapping up on cold evenings outside on a rally or to & from the shower block on a campsite but again not cheap at just under £100 ... They were busy mostly with triathlon athletes & other sporty types.

This was an interesting conversion - Nyax Silverback from RP Motorhomes - not seen a window in the back like this before:

Senior Management bought a MR D at the Newbury show - can't fault it but I'm sick to death of casseroles:)

Saw the name Duck Soup on a stand & that they were from Cornwall so had to see what they were selling - as well as the Dicky Bag (with code for a free strap mentioned earlier in this thread) a simple neoprene mat caught our eye as so many possible applications. Think our favourite use for it will be as a shower mat on campsites so more standing on cold or mucky floors (y) Their suggestion was to just rinse the waterproof back off before leaving the cubicle so all clean again although it can be machine washed too. Ideal to sit on when out & about too as light rolls up to a handy size. This is available in various designs:

These mats are £15 each online http://www.ducksoup.co/camping-carvaning-and-festivals/13-mat.html but hoping that we can get a cheaper deal for Funsters (if interested) on the standard & larger mat in plain colour without any design so could be used for multiple purposes.

The stars of the Show:
Morelo Empire Liner - we didn't join the long queue as too much else to see!

IMG_20161013_144813837 (1).jpg

We didn't seek her out but Julia Bradbury sat down in front of us while we were having lunch :giggle: She was posing for countless selfies with fans & did it all with a smile even though it took a lot of her time.

DSCF0052.JPG

George Clarke was a bit less accessible but drew big crowds with standing room only.

We must have been sat close to you when that photo was taken because I'm sure it was while we were having a rest, sat on a bench off to the left of the photo. Wish I had known :) She had been sat a bit further over, talking to two women, when asked to pose by the two women who were with the men in the photo.

Thought there would be a lot more slide-outs but not that many on the outside but lots of these sliding on the inside

Last but not least was the new Dometic lithium ion battery on the Vanbitz stand - saw the words "Expensive? Yes!" on their leaflet about it & dragged Mr Womble past at speed! :D

Think I posted earlier on this or another NEC thread that I was sorry I hadn't gone.
Having seen all these great photos of "stuff" I could (would?) have bought, wife is delighted we didn't go.:D

Hope all this is of use to anyone who couldn't make this Show or is wondering what might be there at the next one in February. We will be going again then & hopefully this time we might have time to say hi to a few Funsters?! :hi:
We need a secret badge so we can spot each other as wearing a Fun rally one with our forum or own names on just gives sales staff a way to initiate conversations that are not always welcome.

Yes they are very nice, and the Loft is very well packaged if you don't want anything too big.

It is a bit confusing having a "Premium" and a "Premier" but the Morelo dealer at Bawtry/Doncaster is Premier, (just mentioning it for everybody that's trying to find their web site for a look)

And I heard a rumour that they have now sold one into the UK but I don't know what delivery schedules are.

Martin

I was about to replace the Flare with another one. I was put off by the lack of customer care and bad trade in deal at Travelworld. So I am now the proud owner of a Morelo Palace 90G

Any other Morelo owners on here?

How are you finding the Morelo compared to the Flair? Or is it too early to compare?

Not many around yet Stewart, fiends of ours have the Loft changed from a N+B Clou liner, somebody else from N+B forum also changed from a Flair to a Palace with slide.

Going out to Dusseldorf so will see if anything has changed for 2018 vans.

Enjoy yours(y)

I have not collected it yet. the model is a 2018 spec where the wood interior has been changed to a much darker wood and the tap in the kitchen has been replaced.

Everything else is as it was in 2017 model.

I'm told mine is the first 2018 spec made.

Collect next week. It's only a little (20cm) longer than the Flair. The height worries me the most.

What is the height Stewart, as you are right this is probably more of an issue on many sites than length, especially in Spain where they ensure that there are enough trees to provide shade with the inevitable lower horizontal branches. Good luck with the Morelo I could be tempted myself to get a slide out version as space is the only thing I miss from my Yankee but having now got everything (hopefully) in my Flair snagged, down to even a replacement Fridge cooling unit fitted on Friday I am loathe to start the cycle again. Also sterling's weakness to the Euro, even with a big chunk of PX that was acquired at 1.30-1.40, does mentally create a road block for me. Watching with interest.
