Understand that the February Show at the NEC Birmingham http://www.ccmshow.co.uk/ is a bit more tent & caravan than motorhome focussed & not as big as the October one but may still be of interest to Funsters? The manufacturers that we want to see will be there again so we will be going to do more research for our potential change to a PVC - the exhibitor list & layout are already on the website
The Birmingham Airport Travelodge is a good budget option from £28 room only (Friday 24th double room) to £34 with car parking (not motorhome) in the NCP open air car park (Airport Car Park 7) opposite for £7.50 per 24 hours (pay on exit) which includes a regular free shuttle minibus to the airport. Once at the airport it's the free monorail to the NEC & an undercover walk to the halls. Might sound a bit involved but easy & better than being stuck for hours in the traffic queuing in & out of the NEC at peak times. Lots of shops & restaurants en route including M&S Simply Food at the airport so no problem picking up survival supplies At least one local Indian restaurant offers free delivery takeaway to the Travelodge too
