Now you tell us after we have just left you.
Had a great time thanks Tom & Fiona. Would love to do it but don't think we could fit it in this year.

How is it going have you been well slobbered over by Douggie? Tom & Fiona seem to be enjoying themselves.

It's going very well thanks, even if a little soggy at the moment, rain solidly for 24 hours now. Doug has slobbered on all of my clothes, shoes and even my new Samsung Tab, but he is lovely so we forgive him. Opie & Gimpy want my attention all the time but they have our border Terrorist to contend with!

As a first house sitting experience goes this must have been just about as good as it gets.

Tom and Fiona are a lovely couple and it was a pleasure looking after their animal family - which turned out to be a bit larger than expected, what with 2 horses, 3 dogs, 3 cats, a fox, 2 tree frogs, a toad that lived in the toilet, and a gazillion birds.

Back on the road today and finally leaving Spain. It's been a pretty good winter for us, absolutely no complaints. Is it safe to come home yet or will we need the big duvet and our socks?

At the moment you will definitely need the big duvet and socks along with a lot more warm clothing.
Safe journey home guys.

Wife left in 30º yesterday .Text when she landed said ****ing freezing & raining. Then 3 hours later when she arrived "It is bitterly cold ."
Then she suggested that "you'll need to bring coat, jumper ,trousers." lol  She must be mixing me with someone else as I don't do cold/rain (n)

On and off for many years.
Yes it is glorious here. Water tank got up to 75C from a start of 20C this morning - all from solar gain (we have solar thermal panels for DHW and solar pv for the electric).

Cheeky bugger. You're only jealous because we've had the best weather recently which makes a nice change and apparently best weather in the west this weekend if you believe the forecast ::bigsmile::sun::coolest:
Don't I remember Leyland
1. if you cant see the hills -- it's raining
2 if you can it'll rain in the hour.
3. It rarely rains in the day here in the Midlands so our curtains are open nearly all the time
