Does anyone have any recommendations for site nearby?

Either of the two main Clubs, CL's or CC's, or Private sites will do?

Especially appreciated would be one within easy walking distance of a Pub for an evening meal.

Less than 20 miles away why not use the harbour front parking at Burry Port £7 a night within walking distance of all the town pubs and facilities. Plenty of Funsters have used it.

@Sheddy
Do you know if it is the car park at Ashburnham Road, which I can see on Google Street View, or another one?

Thanks for the quick response, by the way.

No, it is the seafront piece of land after passing the lifeboat station which is on the Eastern side of the harbour.
You pay at the harbour masters office, when approaching the town do NOT follow the brown camping signs, follow the long-term parking signs. This is the area.

@Sheddy
Thanks very much. Will try it out.

Looks crowded in the photo!
There were as many as 41 vans there earlier this year during the kids holidays.
The ground of the parking area is lumpy, it has been designated for development and therefore suffers from lack of maintenance.
If you are looking for reasonable pub food then try The Cornish Arms across the railway bridge on the left, or the chip shop opposite the pub also good and reasonably priced.
Cheers
Ed
