We are having a change of pace this year in April and i have got 19 days off. Arrive in Calais about 1100 hrs on 2/4/17 straight after a night shift so a couple of hours kip then probably the Rouen road and back over towards Clermont for the free motorway down to Montpellier area and then very slow touring down to the spanish border. We have a little motorbike with us for touring the areas now and will be France Passion members and generally use aires (The freer the better!)
The beach has huge possibilities if the weather is warm but Cap D'Agde is not our scene but Serignan Plage may well be.
We could make Montpellier in a couple of days quite easily but dont want to miss out on anything so could take 4 or 5 days, but will revisit La Grasse, Mirepoix and Prats Balaguer when we get there and will most definitely give Carcasonne a miss.
Are there little gems on the way down that ought to be on our hit list ?

We love Argeles Plage.
We love Palavas les Flots.
We adore St Tropez.
Top 2 look well nice. St tropez off the beaten track this time but went there last summer, very pleasant.

Argeles Plage is fantastic in season when the sun shines, a hectic seaside town dedicated to fun. Out of season it's a ghost town. Our first visit there was by bike quite a long time ago.

There is a municipal aire in Palavas, part of the big boat moorings complex. Easy walk to thriving seaside town.

We stayed in Port Grimaud and cycled into St Trop last visit, overtaking Ferraris stuck in the gridlock is fun, watching the mega boats is also fun.

We love Biarritz. Quality seaside holiday town.
