Initially I called my the Blue Ogre, as the reg is 'OGA'. However, after all the trouble and expense it gave me during its first 12 months, it is now known as the Blue Meanie...

Motorhomed for almost 7 years - now going nowhere!
Surely you should call it "Brian" the most famous snail from the magic roundabout. :thumb:

Good idea but we know too many Brian's and it could get confusing!
Can you make anything from the registration PO...EVU?

Yes
Ours is called Flo because of the reg no. being FL02 - and lack of imagination.
Although we did once have a car called Horace - reg no. GGP (horse pi$$ modified to Horace)

Have you named your motor home and if so what inspired it?
We took delivery of our first van on the 20th anniversary of my Mums death, so we named her after her - Winnie.
Our next van was much smaller so she became Minnie Winnie.
We have had our present van since May and as yet have not given her a name. I feel she needs one !
Do you just call yours the van or the moho or are you a bit soft like us ?

Never named vehicles in the past, but recently bought a Hymer and we are calling it Hermes the patron of travellers and wayfarers.

We Christened our first motorhome "Fred" as we felt the house carpets would be "Fredbare" by the time we paid for it.
We are now on "Fed 5" !

Happy motorhoming.

Caravan since 1970, motorhome or RV since 1999 then back to a caravan in 2017.
After several caravans called Bess (whoa Bess!) we bought our first motorhome. It was built by a boatbuilder on a VW LT and was better, and bigger, than it looked so became Tardis.

When we retired we bought a Hymer 694. It had the registration **** LKE, so having LiKEd it we called it LuKE.

We have a very good friend who was christened Rhys Vaughan by his parents but has always been known as RV. Hence, when we bought our RV, we decided to call it Rhys.

Our first TOAD, a Daewoo Matiz was called John. Either because John follows Luke or after Johnny Mathis. The replacement, a SMART ForFour, was purchased whilst we were staying at the CC Brecon site called Brynich and so is now Bryn.

SWMBO is very keen on naming vehicles. Her Polo is called Marco, my Disco is called 'the tank' owing to its size and weight. The toad is called Loo from its reg no LOO8.... and the motorhome is called Foxy. Though I rarely use these names .

We had a 1927 Austin Chummy called Archie (after my cousins dog ) because we liked the way my Cornish cousin said it, and a 1936 Austin Ruby called Lizzie (after the mother in law) , I liked chucking bucket of water over it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

'Delyth' ... the Dethleffs ...

Was going to be Helga originally, for no particular reason, but somehow Delyth suited her better - probably something to do with having rescued her from deepest Wales.
