Hi
Expecting to pick up our very first MH next month and it is all very exciting. As a first little trip we plan a few days on the North Norfolk Coast. Could anyone recommend a pretty little site with sea view, oh and a bit of sunshine!

We stay at Searles in Hunstanton, they have their own website, but may not be what you are looking for its across the road from the beach so no sea view but the beach is quite sandy. They have a little train that takes you into town so no need to unhook xxx indoor and outdoor swimming pools, health centre, entertainment tescos just up the road

Alternatively there is a small site in Wells sorry dont know the name which has sea view is on a hill and a toilet block but little else unless its expanded.

Good luck on your trip let us know where you stay xxxx

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions - very helpful. Is it best to book in advance for October or is it only in the summer months when sites get fully booked?

I,ve tried to book the CC Seacroft site for next week but it appears to be full for the rest of Sept and most of October.

No sea view but South View at Blakney only a 5 minute walk to the Quay. A well kept CL and only £12 inc electric. There is a bus stop less than 5 mins away.

Hi By the time you have read this you will probarbly been to N Norfolk. We got our M/H in July and for the first trip we went to the Caravan Club site at West Runton as Seacroft at Cromer was full. West Runton site was ok and would go back there for the peaceful place it is. Same trip went to G/Y on the Racecourse site as we had free tickets to the races. If you enjoy walking both sites are ok and would recommend.

I guess this will be too late for G&S but may be good for anyone doing a search.

There is a super little CL site at Walcott (can't remember what town it's listed under & it's a bit early to run out to van for CC Site Directory, anyway all good things are worth striving for:winky:) now it's a small site & it's shrunk further in the last couple of years (wouldn't want to get a caravan or RV in there:whatthe:) but the sea views are beyond comparison.

The graveled site is on top of the sea wall with just a low chainlink fence as the boundary. There is a gate in the fence and about a dozen steps to get down to the beach. In the days when the grandchildren were of that age we could park the van against the fence and watch them digging in the sand & paddling in the sea from the comfort of our lounge (I hasten to add they were old enough not to need reins and immediate supervision:Smile:)

Walcott is on a bit of a bulge on the east coast so the sea views are 180 degrees and the only reason I am now divulging the location of this gem on the internet is that our grandchildren no longer think it's cool to play in the sand:Sad:

Hello G & S we have used Searles at Hunstanton which is a relatively large site with good facilities and entertainment, we have also been to the neighbouring (50mt apart) Manor Park, which is a smaller, cheaper site but still has good facilities.
Pinewoods at Wells is a nice location, reasonable toilet block, 100mt to beach and dune walks and a 1 mile approx sea wall walk to town and quay.
Have no experience of small sites but there are some cls.

Thanks for sugestions

Hi
On wednesday we picked up our first ever MH from Lowdham Leisure with a three hour lesson on which buttons to press. We thought an engineering degree may help, but we are a bit too late for that one. Thursday was a refresher course day - multiple choice questions only. We had booked through a friend the Beeston Regis site complete with sea view and perky bouncing rabbits - quiet as the graveyard, next door. Most things worked a treat, at least those bits we remembered from our little quiz. Bottle opener:thumb: Bed:thumb: cooker:thumb:. Tv - not quite got the hang of the channels, Heating - not quite remebering the buttons and had to open the windows at 3 am, stip off and run round the MH to cool down. A few hours later we had worked out how to share grey water and the thetford contents:thumb:
More revision sessions needed this week - might be able to reset the clock but perhaps it doesn't matter these days.
