Just thought I'd pass on a little trick to keep the top of the van clean when not in use.

Normally water pools on the top of the van, dirt settles in patches, and green slime grows where it's wet.

When not using the van, I stand the front wheels on 2 inch thick planks to raise the front and allow water to drain off the roof. This not only stops pooling (and thick ice forming in winter), but when you get a good downpour it can give the roof a clean.

The first two winters after we got the van I did that but for the last few years I couldn't be bothered and therefore have dirty roof to clean.

This is what I love with Winne, and quite a few other RVs, we have a curved roof so if we get stanging water up there we've got far biger problems:thumb:

And there's a thing, or related tip, don't wash the roof and bugger off out for an hour before washing the sides:Angry::Angry::Angry::Blush:

Know it might sound silly but it aint half fun. The neighbours often see me with one of those large water guns filled with soapy water squirting water up onto the roof when we are about to have a downpour.... Voila let God do the work....
