Several Funsters have asked me about these ties

Ray (Dingray) first showed them to me and I bought them on eBay from a seller in Devon.

Look brilliant and I can think of three immediate uses for them...

But... at over a £1 a go I was wondering if it will not be wiser for me to carry on using the ordinary cable ties and throw them away rather than reuse one of these 100 times in order to get my money's worth.

However... when the Chinese copyists get them into their worldwide retail network at a fifth of the price... then I am going for them.

JJ

PS. I have up until recently had a fabulously generous and kind cable tie supplier. :winky: :winky: :winky:

They look good.

I have thousands of the old ones to use up first though.

I have a shop near where I work that sells hardware stuff and I seem to come out with a bag of cable ties everytime I go in.

My wife thinks I have a fetish about them....

Here's a neat alternative to conventional cable ties...

They have very little waste and can be undone and re-used.

I have just started to use Velcro reusable tie wraps that you buy by the metre from EBay. Son was so impressed that he has bought a 25 metre roll at £9.99 or you can get a metre for about £1.75 including postage.

Its quite possible to reuse ordinary cables tie's several times, simply use a thin pointed knife or similar to lift the locking tongue up slightly and gently pull the tie apart. :thumb:
