We have just received a guide to sites in Germany and Merilyn immediately said that they were no good for her because most of them are by water and she is a magnet for mozzies and anything else insectwise that bites. So is she right to be concerned?

We lived in Gutersloh for three years and yes, there were Mozzies. Had to burn those spiral things. When we went to the Kruger we wore those impregnated wrist bands and didn't get bitten at all! Try them they worked really well.

Well sorry but got to disagree, we were at cairngorm gliding club Feshiebridge last October, weather was fine and there were loads of mozzies. They weren't midges, but mozzies, confirmed by the locals.two of us said, Are mozzies as a big a problem as they are in Scotland?
There are no mozzies in Scotland !! but Midgies are a different kettle of bugs, it is a bugger if you stop at some places when thousands of the little bugger decide to visit for a feast !!
