It's time for a clearout of some toys I don't use .... so before I put it on Fleebay is anyone interested in a top of the range Marin Attack Trail .... full suspension mountain bike which has only been ridden for about 30 miles on tracks & road.

Forgetting how old I was I bought this for over £2200 a few years ago and it has spent its life hanging in my garage:doh:

I am around 5'8" and wouldn't want to be much shorter to ride it but would suit someone over 6'0"

Sorry about the dust ... I didn't notice until I checked the pics!
Just noticed the string which holds the bike in line on the rack.

Specifications;
6061 T6 Dual monocoque .. Size 151/2" (39cm) .. 3 position, adjustable travel swinging arm
Shimano XT shifters ... Front & Rear mechs ... Chainset 44/32/22
Hope M4 brake levers ... Sport Disc Hubs ... & hydraulic brakes
Fox Float RL rear shock with rebound adjuster and remote lockout
Fox Forx Talas RLC front forks with variable travel (80-125MM)
Mavic X-137 rims
Shimano clipless pedals

Bike Magic Review for the 2004 model

This bike is almost unused & as good as new .

I'm looking for £650 so if anyone interested please message (PM) me for further details........ I would be open to sensible offers.

I think if you never wore the lycra she would let you keep it.:ROFLMAO:
I will add that anything Brian sells is like new, and he has so much stuff he though he needed, or could not remember he already had and got another.

Nice bike. Love the colour, 'cos it's the same as my Marin. :)

Cheers Mike, I still like Marin bikes and also have a Tiburon ... Is your one the Attack Trail?

No, nothing so posh, it’s a Wildcat hard tail. Love it to bits, the gears are silk smooth, never click or jump. The only problem I have ever had with it was an hydro oil leak on the front brake a couple of days after I bought it, which the dealer fixed and has been fine since.

I get great pleasure out of cleaning and oiling it after it gets mucky. But my days of serious downhill stuff is done, as I don’t bounce quite like I did. I have always said to Management that I would rather hang it on the wall and just look at it, rather than ever sell it. :)

Its a lovely bike Brian... its a shame you didnt or cant or didnt get some use out of it...
Ive got an old bike which at the time i got it some 17 years ago was a well specked bike... now when i go for bits for it all the top end stuff is becoming incompitable... an eg was the front hub which i ripped some spokes out of... the replacement hub wouldnt take the original hydraulic calliper without some modifications...
I was tempted when i saw yours but decided to keep trying to run mine...
The lad in the bike shop keeps trying to sell me a new one... :D
But they have larger wheel and so many gear ratios i think id get confused
Hope it finds a good home soon..
Andy.

Nice bike Andy, I hope you can keep it going.

I was a bit optimistic when I bought this particular bike and should have realised I was getting too old.

I know exactly how you feel Mike, that's why mine has been kept ... only really selling because Her Ladyship keeps nagging reminding me that I will never get any younger.

Probably insane as you say Tam .. I wouldn't mind so much if I'd had some use out of it.:crying:

Sorry, don't need a twin tub .. I've already got enough clutter.

I'm just on the wind up. Good luck with your sale.

For a serious biker that's a great price from cost new
