A new car is exempt for its first 3 years from requiring and MOT

Does the same apply to a motorhome?

Its a private vehicle with the same criteria and class as a heavy car so the 3 year rule applies.

A frames have nothing on this one
Interesting choice of words John Heavy Motor car and you are quite correct in their use.

I have long argued that my ordinary car licence covered me to drive a "Heavy Motor Car" without any limits on weight (Look up the definition) given that the class still exists and a Motor home is designated a "Heavy Motor Car"
Are DVLA and many others in ERROR when talking about other classes of licences to drive say a 12 Ton RV which is after all a "Heavy Motor Car" and I already have a licence for those.;)
