Passed with 11 but I haven't driven for 30 odd years and had never driven on motorway but been a passenger often enough and I'm a back seat driver in front passenger seat.

Edit: Just done the quiz again and it was the one about braking in snow - at least I erred on the side of caution and said 30x

When I clicked on the link it took me to some competition to win an iPad, after a few more clicks I saw in the fine print it wanted to start charging me £4.50 a week to enter a draw. I stopped clicking at that point! This sort of thing should be illegal - "obtaining money by deception" springs to mind.

On a similar note, who remembers how many colours of cats eyes were used on motorways and can name them and their positions....

Red, Amber and green obviously. In fog they let you know your road position

I got all right.. as far as ice is concerned I'm pretty sure the motorway would be shut if there's sheet ice on it so the 10 times thing is a good rule to follow in icy conditions (plus to get sheet ice over 10 times the braking distance at 70 on a motorway would be pretty unlikely)

Really? Other than red, amber, green and white, my highway code book says that "you may see blue studs, these are for emergency services" not a direct quote, but something like that. I have to say I've never seen any blue studs.
I notice you said used to use, I take it that means that there is a colour that is no longer used? I am intrigued!

They used to use both Blue and Purple, Blue for exit/entry to highways depots and purple denoted no hard shoulder.

Got 6 wrong as well - I had an accident on black ice and you go on for what seems like forever. If snow is deep enough you'll stop pretty quickly
