Been around for getting on for 30 years.

The Brit Stops network here is based on the concept.

A reminder is often good, sometimes we think everyone knows everything, but French Passion and Brit Stops worth a mention used both and found them worth using when traveling.

France Passion aren't just in France. We came across an aire in Italy last week which had signs about it.

We haven't used them before, other by this accidental discovery, but I think they are a good alternative to standard aires. Just need to brush up my French (or Italian). :)

It's always good to have a reminder of the link.

@Meki welcome from us. I am a Britstops fan and if we were going to France would look at France Passion. Might not be "cheap" after you buy (although there is no obligation to do so) but if you would go for a meal out or a drink out anyway it's nice to get a taste of the area and to meet your hosts.

dont worry about it . its always worth a mention .
    mind i still use a 1999 aires book .
at that time there was a list of french passion places .
enjoy your travels and have fun .
was 39 francs then for the book about 3.90 quid . still not sure if i got my moneys worth .

The Italians have their own version, Fattore Amico.

I believe there are versions in other European countries as well, all based on the original France Passion concept.

Hi @Meki never be put off posting you will sometimes get banter going but when you are new and finding your way around a forum it can come across as picky and we leave that to facts. I think the posts were tounge in cheek. (y)

We have been in it for 4 years but havnt joined this year, they are really good if you want to see real French people in there own environment, but as someone said they can be expensive if you get carried away, and some of them can be a devil to find and in really out of the way places, but with Aires everywhere, we havnt bothered this year but still have last years book so if we were stuck would try to see if they would let us in , and seeing as they very rarely ask for your membership don't think it would be a problem.

Well thinking about it some of the old French farmers would probably like a few nude young females about, but would the work get done ;)

yeah you are right , but the fact is they are working places not campsites or Aires, they are in it to make money one way or another, this is not knocking them , we have been on some very good places, and been on some where we never spent a penny, just stating facts.
