Would someone tell me if there is any connection between the above companies please ? Our MH is insured with MH facts but the other names keep cropping up and seem to be connected, I am confused.

Apologies I have no idea where "The dark side "came from I meant to write "MH facts."

Well I know that facts insurance is underwritten by aviva, who offer the same policy that comfort sell. So that's part of the link. The broker AIB who gets mentioned on Fun is a "broker" and as such would be able to offer the Aviva policy...
Not sure on the out and about link as don't go on very often.

Whichever one you call the same girl answers the phone, so they could be connected.
Yes in this case it is the same policy underwritten by Aviva.

Of the bigger insurance companies you would be surprised how many are the same I do a bit of contract work occasionally in call centers, Churchill, Privilege, Green Flag are all actually Direct Line. I think Tesco & Sainsbury are as well, their banks are run by RBS which incorporated Direct Line until they recently split if off into a separate group.

I'm massively confused as well. The only insurance company you list is Comfort. The other names are just websites on which Comfort advertise. So you can't be insured with "facts" though you might have responded to an advert you saw on their website.

Other than advertising there is no connection between the organisations you mention.

However, to add a further level of confusion a particular insurance company can use different underwriters, but probably best not to go there! :)

MH 'facts' is often referred to as 'the dark side' due to some history which can be found here

It might be that Jim has some super duper software that automatically changes the name.

I have previously used both comfort and facts insurance. Both were exactly the same policy underwritten by aviva just with a different policy booklet cover. The phone number was also the same or very similar. I'm not sure whether this is still the case.

Really ... don't think it would need to be super duper to 'hide' the competition's name ... just a minor bit of code ... its not worth sullying this wonderful forum with the real name!!!

All Caravan insurance underwritten by AVIVA is channelled through Victor Millwell Insurance Agency Limited trading as Comfort Insurance.. Peter and Pat Cue and their family have been active motorhome owners for over 25 years. In the mid-1990’s Peter realised that there was little or no specialist cover available to motorhome owners, so he set about creating a policy that provided the additional cover that motorhome owners needed. This became the Comfort Insurance Scheme.
AVIVA are the underwriters (was Norwich Union then). http://www.comfort-insurance.co.uk/about/
Try the AVIVA Direct website and it will direct you to Comfort. AVIVA also used to own the RAC so were able to arrange breakdown cover for their insurance customers, that was not available by going direct to RAC.

MHFacts owner arranged to have a policy in their name which is administered by Comfort.

AIB is an independent broker who sell policies from various companies but as AVIVA are the only ones to do true Full Timing insurance (no UK residence), they also have to route their business through the Comfort (Victor Millwell Insurance Agency Limited) office.

MMM, (Motorcaravan Motorhome Monthly) and Motorcaravan magazine, are published by Warners Group Publications. They run a Website Forum under the name Out and About as well as organising Motorhome shows. Warners Group produce Camping, Caravan, Park Home and other magazines as well.
