We will be travelling back through Switzerland on the E35 / A2 and have noticed a lot of stopovers near Lugano, Lucerne etc are closed. Can anyone recommend some sites that will be open or which web sites are good to look at for this.
Also we are thinking of travelling through Austria as well but are concerned about the issue of having to have winter tyres. The MH will be brand new and won't have winter tyres fitted.

This might be helpful: Swiss Terroir

It's the Swiss version of France Passion (and Brit Stops of course). The website isn't in English unfortunately, just French, German and Italian.

We've used it ourselves and enjoyed some nice stopovers on cheesemakers and farms (though those cow bells really should have an "off" switch for night time!)

Steve :)

Everything in Switzerland is expensive IMHO

You can be across it in a few hours and stop in at a stellplatz in germany.

dont forget to do your vignette or hgv toll ( if your over 3.5tonne )
