I've been passing through Pickering this week and noticed a sign in a shop window advising overnighting is allowed at the rear of the shop.

Water and grey disposal is available.

there is a charge of £10 per 24hours.

sounds expensive for what is basically a carpark but its bang in the middle of the town.

the stop-over is located on the western side of the river bridge (traffic light controlled cross roads) on the A170, opposite the access road to the North Yorks moors railway.

    pre-booking is needed.

looks like a sensible business prospect maybe more should take note.
i tend to agree on the price but you do get 24 hours.
would probably get more if charging a fiver but there will no doubt be some licence , insurance and other costs involved that we dont consider.

It's in the Practical Motorhome Magazine Nightstop Scheme, so properly certificated.

Sounds a good price for being right in the centre of Pickering.
