Is there an end of year motorhome show where dealers give huge discounts to move the 2016 stock?

Something like the Southampton Boat show in September. Anywhere South / SW / reasonable travel distance from Cornwall?

Thanks

My understanding is that the best discounts are at the NEC show in October http://www.motorhomeandcaravanshow.co.uk/
Not for the current/old stock but rather for next year's pre-orders.

Some of the large dealers who buy in bulk (Brownhills?) may have odd vans left at the end of season - it's probably better to search online and call dealerships in person if you're looking for specific vehicles.

There is the Shepton show in early September, I'd struggle to recommend it though, as it's been gradually downsizing (and disappointing) for a number of years. http://camperex.com/

Good luck with your search (y)

You could always try the Warners show at Lincoln if you don't mind travelling a bit further. There are usually some bargains to be had and you can certainly do some negotiating when there is no trade in.

The best time to buy a van is when it has been hanging around the dealers for a while and he wants to clear it to make room for new stock. Sometimes happens when next year's models start coming in around December/January. But you have to look harder for the one that suits you.

And it won't be a bargain if the layout is wrong for you. :(

We intended buying at the NEC last year but phoned around dealers in September to see what was available

Ended up with a brilliant unregistered display model which we managed to get 15% off list along with a good discount off a solar panel, extra battery and reversing camera and even managed to get a few trips in before the weather got worse!

Hi.
As a guide, Auto-Sleepers keep sending us promotions (Ex customers). Some of the deals on New Pre/Un registered M/homes,have to be seen to be believed.(Plus yopu can still haggle..)
We have bought 3 units from them and found them to be very fair in our dealings with them,of course, some people have not been so lucky, swings and roundabouts......
If the "Price is right...DOH"......Get it bought!
