I have recently installed this app.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.nkc.camperplaats&hl=en_GB

I got the full version, it was about £6.00. There are 13000 stopovers listed and the navigation works seamlessly with Google Maps or Sygic. Navigon is supported too.
Initial impressions are good. You can set data to update automatically or force an update if you wish.
On the subject of satnav, I opted for Europe-wide Sygic with lifetime updates. £35 one off payment!
It looks like this Hudl was a fantastic buy!:thumb:

Developer claiming 10000 - 50000 installs. Only 106 people have reviewed, with 11 giving 1 or 2 stars. Not insignificant percentage. What are their issues? Unfortunately most not in English.

    I'm on Jellybean 4.2.

No issues in the messing around I've done so far.

Are the reviewers being realistic? It works OK offline and the interface with Sygic works. Maybe they think some of the guide is inaccurate, but so are the paper aire guides.
At least I won't be buying a new one every year.

I note one reviewer complained there were no Aires near Calais.
I have just looked, there's loads!

Maybe he was too tight to buy the full version. The free one has limited info.

I've recently been using the free App from CCI (www.campingcar-infos.com) in Italy, France, and Belgium. It's like a miniature version of their website, with the same Europe-wide coverage, and matches their free SatNav POI files, as long as you update the latter just before setting off.
