Hi,

Fairly new motorhomers currently touring in Spain.

Any suggestions for parking in Cadiz and Seville or campsites nearby with bus connections?

Kind regards

Mike & Yvonne

Agree the site at El Puerto Santa Maria is a very good one - we have just spent a week there. The other sites to the south are, apparently, less well connected.

For Seville all roads seem to lead to:

Camping Villsum
N-IV 41703 Dos Hermanas, Sevilla
954 72 08 28

Its a twenty minute bus ride into the centre of the city (ten minute walk to the stop into town and you get dropped off at the gate on the way back). Good site with helpful staff.

For Seville we have used Puerto Gelves a couple of times.
It's a marina but they allow MH parking and have some spots with EHU. There are toilets, showers and a place to empty out.
I wouldn't recommend it for RVs or very big rigs as most of the bays aren't very big.
The big benefit of this spot is convenience. The bus stop is almost right outside and is 15-20 mins to Seville city centre. Seville is a beautiful city.
There is a Lidl and an Aldi within walking distance.

Spanish sites

Hi, Thanks to all for the advice re Cadiz.

We are currently at the Puerto St Maria site as recommended. Great site and very handy for St Maria and Cadiz (by ferry).

Later on in the month we are going to visit Cordoba, are there any recommendations out there from Funsters for suitable campsites?

Thanks again and best regards

Some places for you to see while you are in El Puerto de Santa Maria.

1) Gutierrez Colosia - sherry producers opposite the car park near the ferry - or as you walk into town from the campsite it is on your left as you get level with the car park. They do tours in English every day at 1pm and 12.30 and 1.30 on Saturdays - family run business - very interesting and lovely sherry:winky: €4 each for the tour.

2) Walk along the prom to the railway station - 2 miles from the site but a nice flat walk - then get the train to Jerez - only a few minutes journey or Seville  - a couple of hours or Cadiz.

3) When you come out of the site turn left and walk along the beach to the marina - some nice walks around there.

4) In town there are some lovely old buildings - watch the storks nesting on the Cathedral - loads of them! :thumb:

Enjoy! We had a month there 6 years ago and loved it. Now done the sherry tour 3 times! We keep taking people from Zahora! :winky: Did the ferry to Cadiz for the carnival ( left our camper in the car park).

Camping Brillante ???

At €30 per night it is pricey with only moderate facilities, but it is within walking distance of the things you want to see and the bus stop is outside the door. Could try the car park opposite the city walls at only €12 per night, secure but NO FACILITIES it is just a car park

Regards, Bryan
