A 53-year-old car driver has died after a head-on crash on the A43 road in Northamptonshire on Saturday.

A Ford Focus travelling from Geddington towards Stanion was in collision with a Peugeot motor home travelling in the opposite direction at 11:10 BST.

The driver of the Focus, from Stanion, died and his passenger, a 54-year-old woman from the village, was injured.

The driver of the motor home, a 62-year-old man from Bedford, was unhurt, police said.

Witnesses to the collision, or anyone who has information about it, are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police.

All crashes are bad when injuries occur. My brother was killed by a drunk driver.
