Anyone have any thoughts on a good reasonable insurance company for the MH
I've just renewed my insurance for the Moho. Got a brilliant deal with Equity but with enquiring I got a call from Grove & Dean and their quote was with Highway. As a bonus, and temptation, they included breakdown both UK and up to 30 days abroad (90 days max) but the reason I didn't go ahead was there was a £600 maximum windscreen cover but the cost was under £300.00 including legal and protected no claim.

Got ours through CaravanGuard as they had the best value for European travel, £2k windscreen cover and the usual stuff - we did have a Tracker fitted but having no no-claims that we could transfer over it kind of balanced out.

From memory I thought that comfort only offered 120 days in Europe unless you take out a fulltime policy. I know sometimes though that it does depend on the specifics of maybe the m/h and ages of the drivers as to what they offer.

Hi
Try AIB, I tried the others listed above but they didn't come close to AIB. I arranged European breakdown separately through LV Brittania who were a Which Best Buy and are able to repatriate vehicles in excess of 5 tonnes..Good luck

On and off for many years.
ERS via AiB. Had a claim a couple of years ago because of storm damage and they were quick and efficient. Also it did not affect the following year's premium :) They have also been very helpful with my license being revoked ...... instead of a policy change they have made a note on the present policy and will do any changed (if needed) when we renew.

Not quite correct I have taken this from schedule, the 120 days are if outside stated countries of EU.

Have to confess I'm dreading shopping for insurance as and when we get our first MH. Dipped my toes into getting quotes waters a couple of years ago trying to get a feel for likely costs. I recall getting totally hacked off with having to regurgitate the same info time and again - often to be told "we can't cover that vehicle, but we have a sister / associate company that may" and having to repeat everything again. I just hope one of the comparison sites do MHs when the time comes. Lifes too short to spend hours on the phone / computer getting insurance quotes.
