Motorhome insurance in France (1 Viewer)

We have moved from England to France hopefully permanently. We have a campervan and because we do not now have a permanent UK address our insurance is cancelled for the camper.
Can anyone please recommend an Insurance company .

There are a growing number of members living in France who probably have their own preferences but
we found that Matmut was the best in our area.
We had other vehicles insured with Axa but they were significantly more expensive for the MH
We have a 2008 Rapido 7090 and our annual premium is around 475€
Where abouts in France are you?

Thanks for the reply, We live near Carcasonne, and are in the process of transfering the camper to the French system. Hopefully not far to go now.
Have not got the cart grise yet and therefore the plates but getting there. best wishes

You should be able to insure it on the UK reg or chassis number with A French company until changed over, surely ? That's what we do here.

MACIF is really good . Trailer if problem right in front of the house. We call it "Insurance 0 km"
My motorhome is there and I pay 211,99/year

When we first came over with UK reg. camping car we insured it on it's UK plate until Burstner were happy we had jumped through all the hoops they could throw at us and let us have a Certificate of Conformity, enabling us to obtain the Carte Grise. I think we were with Axa at the time, but other companies will certainly do likewise.
