How I see this working would be, as an example, someone here in Murcia either travelling or wildcamping on the coast, the driver having chest pains and being taken to hospital the motorhome then being left somewhere vulnerable either with a partner who can't drive or left alone if the person is travelling solo. A phone call to one of the volunteers could have the motorhome retrieved and taken to a place of safety until other arrangements need to be made.
Some people travelling abroad for the first time may be a little apprehensive about being in a strange country and could travel with telephone numbers of volunteers (numbers could be obtained before they leave by a pm) and so in case of no internet to post on FUN a volunteer could be contacted by phone.
For a very small region of Spain, Murcia has 3 volunteers already, two of whom I know can accommodate a motorhome. Taking the partner to visit at the hospital or visiting a solo traveller in a hospital where they are isolated by lack of a language could also be arranged for as long as necessary.
Don't forget we are talking about very rare occurrences and it may be that some people will never have to respond but it could be a lifesaver for someone sometime.
