I want to downsize my motorhome once I finally get into new house.

Currently have a Benimar about 6.3 m. Nothing fancy but low mileage ( about 34k miles from memoery) regularly serviced, cam belt done less than 8000 miles ago. Full sized cooker, microwave, good sized fridge and freezer. Solar panel, Fixed bed. 2001.

So my questions are.
How do I find out how much my vehicle is worth ?

Best way to sell it?

Any recommendations for a small van -- I'm thinking size of Romahome/ Bedford Bambi ?

Any advice will be gratefully received as I'm an amateur at this!

I am sure others can suggest a value, but you will need to give the year, but the magazine MMM has lots of adverts for second hand MHs.

There is a forum for small motorhomes but I better hadn't mention it hear...*

many many years! since I was a kid
speak to a friendly dealer with "the book" or google other 2001 benimars for sale

At at rough guess I would say £15,000 this time of year. several 2002 models and at least one 2003 about this price, but the low mileage and good condition of yours helps

Smaller motor home

As a smaller motor home, try looking at a Nu Venture Rio as their quality is far better than Romahome (IMHO) having had both. Loved mine, but too small for really long stays away and also the rear end door meant no bike rack. Hope it helps.

Sell

Hi

For advertising, I have used an Ebay classified in the past, and also sites such as Fun.

If you call David Fuller Motorhomes at Nottingham, they will probably give you a cash price - yes its a trade price but its a starting point for you. Then look for a van like yours on dealers websites and try to thing of selling somewhere in between the two prices.

You are in the fortunate position of wanting to trade a family sized van for a micro van. Any dealer would want your business as most would be looking to trade the other way.

Thanks everyone. Some great ideas and food for thought.

The Nu Venture Rio is favourite at the moment for smaller vehicle.

Have saved all your ideas.
