    As of 18th.Nov .2012
a couple of changes to mot practices

    1. The mot certificate will display
Your current mot test mileage and the previous 3 years mileages at the time of those tests
Mistakes made in recording the present mileages can only be rectified during the next 7 days
You should therefor double check what the MoT man has entered as after 7 days it becomes a permanent record

    2. All pre 1960 Vehicles inc Motor cycles will be
    MoT Test Exempt

Look out for "MoT Talk" post for some more interesting gossip:thumb:

I know the reasoning is the majority of vehicles this old will be in the hands of collectors/enthusiasts, therefore allegedly very well maintained and covering low mileages.....but not all are.

these are the very vehicles that need an MOT due to the age and unavailability of various component parts.

for not too bothered, if it fails now its a pain sourcing parts, but if its exempt then it probably wont get fixed to a safe standard...AKA..a running bodge.
