Anybody got any idea of the sort of weather we can expect to see in the Mosel region last week of July first couple of weeks of July ?

hi ,i would say really good weather possibly quite warm. lovely area .lots of free parking along the river .or there was. do sunday in cochem it might be m,bike day . hundreds turn up. have a great trip.

Hi,
Cochem is a very busy town during the summer, if you drive through the town, just on the eastern outskirts, there in a vineyard shop and hotel lovely meals, They have a nice site behind, with hook ups if you should want them, charge 7 Euro's per night, if you buy a box of Wine its free, just ask at the shop.

Rhine and Mosel areas are beautiful - well worth the time to visit - use the water buses as much as possible - many have a running commentary going on in a number of languages telling about the surrounding area - weather has always been good there - one of the reasons why they have vineyards all the way along. Very tourist friendly

Warm microclimate, hence all those grapes!

If we are in Germany and the weather is poor, heading to the Mosel never lets us down! Last June it was raining everywhere! We went to the Mosel and straight into sunshine and a tropical 30 degrees C!:thumb:

new here. We have been to the Mosel 3 times in recent years, mostly in June and each time the weather has been really hot and sunny. There are numerous Stellplatz all down the river in great positions for visiting the towns and villages.
Cochem is a lovely town they have a very good market but unfortunately I can't remember what day it is on. The whole Mosel valley is in my opinion a lovely region to tour in a motorhome. Enjoy!!! :thumb:
