Hi just been touring up the Mosel for last 3 weeks and now on Stellplatz at Traben-Trarbach.€10 a night with showers water WiFi and elect. No wonder we never go far in UK with prices so low in Germany. It is about time UK loweted its prices.

The very reason we hardly ever use our van in the UK nowadays too expensive and very anti motorhome. Same with motorbikes welcome everywhere in Europe but not in the UK.

Have you been to Wintrich - just a bit further on (and on the other side of the river)? Nice stellplatz there (similar cost) and there's a great little bar/restaurant in the middle of the village that does excellent schnitzel and sells wine from the local weingut (Marx) - the Riesling Trocken is great!

    Hi Bill-OR.
Have used 90% of all Stellplatz on the Mosel as this is our 5th trip up or down Mosel.

Hi forest boy. We have a 125 with us on this trip. Used to tow our Honda 600 or the 250. So much fun to be hsd on 2 wheels.

We start our trip home Friday. Will use Belgium roads as France is on strike. Glad we filled up in Luxembourg and extra 20ltrs.

    Hi mowbotman.
Get the Boad Atlas for a start. Every stellplatz is in it. Start model trip at Trier or koblenz. Just follow the river roads it is that simple. 90%have hookup

It's a habit they've carried on from their famous "Baedecker" guides that proved useful 75 years ago

Love the Mosel. Trier to Koblenz is all beautiful. Can be very hot in September too. Camper van friendly.

It is wine fest the whole of September at the Mosel stellplatz are very busy. Lots of the stellplatz have Wallnut trees ready for picking. We collected 20lb of them 2 years ago. The Dutch and Germans go mad for them. It can be a scrum.
